There are two ways to control your fleets in Delta Quadrant: Horizons
. The first is from the Galaxy Map
, and the other is from the Fleets Management Page
Controlling Fleets From Galaxy Map
The Galaxy Map
provides a visual way to control your fleets, you can view all stars, planets and fleets from all empires in the galaxy. You can also use it to give most commonly used commands to your fleets. For information about how to view and understand the Galaxy Map
, see the Galaxies Page
Moving Fleets From Galaxy Map
In order to move a fleet from the galaxy map, first find a fleet that you own.
Next click the
icon, and a screen will appear showing the basic details (name, power etc) of any own fleet in this system. You may click
next to a fleet in order to view further information, such as details of ships within the fleet. You may also click
to give movement and mission commands to the fleet.
Colonization from Galaxy Map
To colonize a planet from the Galaxy Map, first select the star system that contains a free planet you wish to colonize. Next, left click your chosen planet, and you will be asked to confirm colonization. Click 'confirm'
, and if the command was successful, the nearest idle colonization ship will be sent to colonize the planet.
You can also merge fleets from the galaxy map, see the Fleets Page
Controlling Fleets From Fleets Management Screen
The Fleets Management Screen can be accessed by clicking the Fleets Management
at the top of the game screen.
This screen provides a more powerful way of controlling fleets, as it contains many options not available from the galaxy map. Firstly you can create, rename and merge fleets as well as move ships between fleets. For details see the Fleets Page
In addition, you can manage fleet paths, including resetting a path and commanding a fleet to turn back.
In order to add, change or reset a path or to command a fleet to turn back, first access the Fleets Management
Next select the fleet whose path you wish to change by clicking the
icon next to it. You should notice a form opens with some options.
Adding & changing a fleet's path (Fleets Management Screen)
After following the steps above to access the fleet path manager, you can add and change a fleet's paths from the Fleets Management
If the fleet has no path, then you may add one by clicking 'Add Waypoint'
. Enter the name of a star (or first part and search) and select the star you want. Then click 'add'
. You can add waypoints to existing paths also in the same way, but each point will be added to the end of the path.
If you wish to remove a waypoint, click
by that waypoint and it will be removed.
When you are done, click
to activate the path and the fleet will begin its journey. If you wish to stop an active path click
Stopping a fleet that is between stars will not take effect immediately, instead the fleet will stop when it arrives at the next star (waypoint) on the path.
Colonization, Invasion and Bombardment (Fleets Management Screen)
In addition to just setting the destination, when setting a waypoint as described above, you can use the dropdown box to set an action that the fleet should take when it arrives. These options are to just move to the system, or colonize, bombard or invade a planet. When colonizing, bombarding or invading, a dropdown box will appear allowing you to select a planet within the system.
You must have the necessary ships in the fleet for these actions to succeed. See the Battles
page for details.
Resetting Path and Turning Back
If you wish to delete a path for a fleet you may click the ‘Reset Path’ button from the fleet path manager. This will delete all waypoints, and cause the fleet to stop at the next star if it is between stars.
In addition to this, you may also command a fleet to turn back. This will cause it to return to the star it last visited on its path. To do this click the ‘Reset Path & Turn Back’ button on the fleet path manager.
